Animalia by Eva Aridjis

Sebastian, a solitary construction worker in Mexico City, has horns on his head but has no idea why. Through a series of unexpected events, he discovers he’s the product of a mysterious experiment just as Julia- a journalist with a haunting childhood memory- tracks him down. Together they go in search of other human-animal hybrids, while an unknown person starts to hunt them. What begins as a search for family and the past soon becomes a road movie, a love story, and a horror-thriller tale with an animal rights theme.
